Please read the below information regarding the upcoming meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

1.)  Flights - If you have not booked your flight we urge you to do so as soon as possible.  The weekend of the French Quarter Fest in New Orleans has become one of the major festivals of this popular city and booking flights late may very well present a problem.

2.)  Ground Transportation - We highly recommend that you do not rent a car for your stay in New Orleans unless you have plans to visit the surrounding area outside of the city.  Parking can be a problem and expensive.  If you are arriving by car and staying at the Monteleone Hotel, they do have a parking garage but there will be a daily parking fee and an extra surcharge for oversized vehicles.  If you are not staying at the Monteleone Hotel don't assume that you will be able to use their garage as spaces are limited and may be reserved for persons staying at their hotel on this busy weekend.  We suggest that you call before you enter the French Quarter and head to the hotel.  We do suggest that you arrive early to find a parking space.  You might not be able to enter the French Quarter with your car if you are not staying at the Monteleone Hotel.  In that case you can park across Canal Street in the CBD.

3.)  Suggested Parking Garages - Some suggested parking places are:  Sheraton Hotel Parking, Marriott Hotel, New Orleans Hilton, First National Bank of Commerce (606 Gravier), Dixie Clark (804 Gravier), Central Garage (901 Iberville), Pierre Marquette (811 Common), or the parking areas along Decatur Street and the Riverfront.  Arrive early to find a space.

4.)  The Monteleone Hotel - Hopefully by now you have booked your room at your chosen hotel.  We do not require our participants to use the Monteleone Hotel where we have blocked rooms, but most participants do stay at this hotel.  If you have not booked your room, please do so immediately as we have been informed that hotel rooms for this meeting are going fast this year as well as rooms at most hotels in the French Quarter.  You can call the Monteleone Hotel at (1-800-271-2033) or direct at (1-504-523-3341), or wherever you intend to stay.  If you decide not to stay at the Monteleone Hotel but do wish to stay downtown in New Orleans in or near the French Quarter then book a room now.  Our block of rooms at the Monteleone Hotel are limited so book early. If you decide to stay at the Monteleone Hotel be sure to mention C & H EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS when booking your room.


Be sure to check the new room booking policy for the Monteleone Hotel and the room cancellation policy at our Hotels page.  Click the "Hotels" tab above. If you find that the Hotel Monteleone is full when you try to book, here are some suggested alternatives:  Hilton, Holiday Inn, Doubletree, Renaissance, Marriott, Sheraton, and Omni.  Many major chains have hotels near the Quarter.

5.)  The Meeting - The meeting will begin at 6:30 am for continental breakfast and registration/sign-in.  The actual lectures will begin at 7:00 am and last until 1:00 pm or 2:00 pm (except the Friday lectures which will go to 5:00 pm with an afternoon break).  The meeting will be held at the Monteleone Hotel. Meeting rooms will be announced in the foyer or ask the concierge.  The meeting usually takes place in the Queen Ann Ballroom.

6.)  Continental Breakfast - This will consist of coffee, decaf, hot tea, orange juice, rolls, butter and jam/jelly, quiches, assorted finger food, as well as a limited amount of beignets and cafe-au-lait.  If you desire a full breakfast the hotel has a great restaurant on the ground floor.  Or you can try one of the many local restaurants and snack bars in the French Quarter.  Lunch and dinner will be on your own and is not included. For dinner, New Orleans and the French Quarter offer unlimited possibilities but we do advise you book your reservations early as this is a busy weekend. We do suggest that you dine outdoors at the many booths of the Festival.  Over 100 local restaurants will offer a wide variety of their best dishes.  Be sure to get a "Taste of New Orleans" at the French Quarter Festival.

8.)  Directions - If you fly into New Orleans you can take a taxi or shuttle to your hotel from the airport.  We do recommend the shuttle because they are a bit cheaper than taxis and the airport is well outside the city limits.  If you are driving the Monteleone Hotel is located at 214 Royal Street in the French Quarter.

10.) CE Credits and Certificates - You will receive 20 Class A CE Credits if you participate in the full meeting or 6 credits per day (8 for Friday).  And 5.00 credits in pharmacology/therapeutics.  All credits will be submitted to the AANA within two days.  It usually takes the AANA about one month to post the credits to your account after they receive them from us.  You will also receive a certificate of your attendance at the meeting.  These certificates will be available prior to you departure on the last day of the meeting.  Remember, you must be present at the meeting in order to receive credits and you must sign in daily for the meeting. The AANA has prior approved this meeting for 20 Class A CE Credits, (Code Number 1037907, Expiration Date 10/4/2020.)

11.) Verification Information and Final Payments - You will receive a mailing with a Verification Form and a Final Payment Form.  Please check these over very carefully.  If there is an error on the Verification Form please advise us immediately.  If the Final Payment Form indicates that you have paid in full then this is your receipt.  Please keep it for your records.  It is very important that your name is spelled correctly on this Verification Form and is the same name as listed with the AANA.  It is also very important that your AANA Number is correct.  Please verify this information closely.

12.) 13.) Directory - Every year we make available to all participants a Directory that lists the name, address, home phone, and email address of all participants.  Copies of this Directory are printed for those who ask.  If you do not want your information posted in this Directory you must inform us prior to the meeting.

14.) Cancellation Policy - There will be a $50.00 cancellation fee for any cancellation made after payment is received and deposited.  You will receive a full refund (minus the $50.00 fee) if you cancel by midnight on the Thursday night prior to the beginning of the meeting on Friday.  You must call us (or email us) by Thursday in order to get a refund.  After midnight on that Thursday no money will be refunded nor any refunds for no-shows at the meeting.

15.)  Walk-In Registrations - We usually have space for those persons who have waited till the last minute to decide about attending the meeting.  We have always been able to accommodate walk-in registrations but there is no guarantee.  If you (or someone you know) would like to sign up on site, please call us prior to the meeting and let us know that you are coming.  We do prefer that you pay in check or cash if you do a walk-in registration.

16.)  The Hotel Monteleone Cancellation Policy - When booking your room at the Hotel Monteleone we urge you to ask what their policy is regarding cancellations, deposits, no-shows, etc. for this particular event.
